Creative Craft DT Challenge Blue/Brown/Cream

Happy Day to all of you!! The weather here in NW OH has been sunny with rain and possible tornadoes. My heart goes out to all those in the world who are being so badly effected by all the natural disasters cropping up. 'Course I think it has been these disasters that prompted that religious group to predict the end of the world for this past Saturday. That too is sad cause if they read their Bible it clearly states NO ONE knows when, only God . I just thought it interesting, so just saying.

Well the DT's have been busy getting ready for today's challenge at Creative Crafts Challenge and the theme is "Blue/Brown/Cream" Yum! But first I want to thank our generous sponsors for the lovely prizes they are offering to the lucky winners. Be sure to visit their stores and see all the wonderful images they have for sale! (click on the pic...each is linked)

WHIFF OF JOY

is giving this Stamp

                                                          CRAFTS and ME

is giving this stamp called "Refresh" by Sara Burrier

Top 3 prize(s)
Embellishment packs

The DTs were giving these great designs by Stamping Dragon, this one is called "Rupert Plays Rock n Roll".  I knew immediately that I wanted to put him on a stage. My card stock is Bazzill, the DP I unfortunately scored, pleated, and attached without writing down who made it...oops! I colored him with copics, and added a little Stickles to his chest, he is a Rock Star after all. His guitar is made from pearls you know so I used Glossy Accents to give that effect. I embossed the back wall with a Cuddlebug folder and attached the cornice of the curtain with Paper Studio Fancy Brads. The floor boards were masked and inked so it appears 3D but is not, then I pop dotted him on the stage...ROCK ON!!!

This master fisherdragon is called "Rupert Fishing", isn't he a sweetie, I mean isn't he manly....lol.
I colored him with copics and made him to appear to be at waters edge....he's going for the Big One....you know the one that's going to get away...teehee. Nothing fancy, cause it's for a manly man...lol.

These digis were loads of fun and I hope all the samples the DTs worked so hard on have inspired you.
Be sure to visit their blogs for all the deets, just click the pic of each DT to go to their blog.
So, grab you Blues, Browns, and Cream stash and join us at Creative Crafts Challenge. See you there! And remember....Have Fun!!!

Hugs and God's Blessings to All.

And now for my Sweet Treats.  I used two different digis from Meljen's Designs. I love their stamps, they are whimsical and great for Kids and adults.

I used Bazzill cardstock and Lighten Up paper to mat my cards and colored with copic, I then used Cuddlebug folders for embossing, Hobby Lobby Ribbon and Glossy Accents to create shiny "wrappers", also Stickles was used on the gumdrops to make them look sugary (is that a word lol) and on the rest of the suckers to add some sweetness.  Some elements have been pop dotted for dimension. And the red brads I added were from the dollar store. The sentiments on both cards I created with Word.

Here's my second card

I am sooooo glad you dropped by and I hope you have a Spectacular Weekend!
Be sure to enter your creations at SAS4KIDS and check out the DTs samples too.  I know They would like some loving too.

I made a Mother's Day card for my mom, which she loved! I know Mother's day has come and gone but I didn't think about that we would be posting after that day...oops! Oh well, teehee. I used Bazzill cardstock, and this DP from my stash which had no name on it.

We were given digis from Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles and I chose this vintage shoe; I love it! I used copics to color, and  I embellished with pearls from Hobby Lobby, which I also colored with copics.

I used Spellbinders Petite Oval for the golf mirrored matting and the same for the Doodle Pantry sentiment. On the sentiments I trimmed off the embossed edge so the mirrored cardstock would show.
I used a Cuttlebug die for the deco corner, also using the gold mirrored cardstock.
The border punch is the "Double Arch Punch Around the Page" by Martha Stewart.
I distressed all the edges with SU! Old Olive and Buckaroo Blue combined.
The roses were on clearance years ago in the bridal section at Michael's, before anyone had ever heard of "Primas"...lol. They are the only store bought flowers I have. Oops I forgot Diane at Magnolia-licious gave me some larger flowers when I made a purchase at Christmas. I am saving them...a hoarder, yes it is true....lol.

I popped up the ruffle on the shoe, which does not show well because of my shadowing with C3 copic on the main image. It looks much better in real life. The key ring charm is from my stash.

The artsy angle shows the glossy "jewel" on the shoe I accented.

My second sample card is made with a digi stamp from Meljen's Design

The pic is blurry for some reason..and the tan cardstock looks off white...and the olive green looks beige...aaarrrgg...When I saw the stamp I instantly thought of a black silhouette with a touch of color. I used Bazzill cardstock and colored the image with pastel pencils.
The left black and tan stripes are punched using a Paper Studio edge punch that I love. I found the "Happiness" embellie in my metal stash and thought it would be perfect. Well this is my version of a CAS Vintage card. It looks much better in person and I wish you could see that...lol

Thanks you so much for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
Be sure to enter the  Distress/ Vintage Challenge at Creative Craft Challenge . The more the merrier!

As always Hugs and God's Blessings

SEND A SMILE 4 KIDS Challenge #9 Flowers GUEST DT

Good morning everybody! I hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend. I have some fun news.
I am so excited to be a Guest DT for Challenge #9 at  Send A Smile 4 Kids , Woohoo!!

First I want to encourage everyone to check out the Blog for donating handmade cards to Send A Smile 4 Kids. Both Mari and Karen are in the USA and Wendy is in Australia and will deliver your donations to local hospitals. I think this is a wonderful cause, So Make a Child smile by donating handmade cards or making monetary donations through PayPal ( all information can be obtained here)

The Challenge is" May Flowers" and Our Fabulous Sponsor is  Robyns' Fetish Digital Stamps

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is proud to sponsor this challenge.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is
is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice.

PRIZE FOR WINNER WILL BE
EITHER 5 digital stamps OR 4 digital stamps and 1 paper set from Robyns Fetish.

I had so much fun coloring and creating cards with the digis Robyn provided for us.

I used Bazzill and SU! Cardstock for both cards and the first card's flower and green polkadot DPs are old ones from my stash. When I found the little flower punch I had purchased last year at Michael's I was so pleased how it was exactly the same as the flowers on the DP. Cool huh?
I diecut the cute girl image with my Spellbinders and used a circle punch for the flowers and tab on the right side of the focal point. The little butterfly is a Family Treasures punch and has a pearl from HobLob.
There are also dew drops in the center of the spiral flowers but they do not show in the photo.

For my second  card I embossed with my Cuttlebug folder, Swiss Dots and  punched the green cardstock with a Martha Stewart border punch. I had a different digi, by the same artist, with similar flowers that I colored, cutout and pop dotted, and put at the bottom edge of the card. the dew drops are actually an aqua color, and those I purchased on Ebay. The butterfly is a McGill punch.

I am hoping this post publishes properly cause blogger was acting funny. I could not get the  first part or last third of the post to be a same size font as the center....weird!

Thank you so much for visiting and be sure to go enter your Flower creation at Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog here.

As always Hugs and God Bless You
