Day Dreams

Happy Day everybody. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I am. I love to hop around cardland and look at all the beautiful creations. They truly blow me away. All the brilliant talent is so inspiring, I must say. Everyday I see something new. And just the few months I have been blogging I have learned so much.
It really touches my heart that everyone is so helpful and kind. Thank you to all those that help me and each other. Now on to my latest card.

I found these lovely digi papers at Bearly Mine Designs...they were  Freebies, woohoo! When I found them I instantly thought of making a Magnolia card. Aqua is one of my favorite colors, and I just knew it would look terrific as matting for Tilda.  So, I colored Tilda with Large Bow with copics  and mounted her with pop dots on to a Spellbinders die cut circle, which I had previously stamped with  a JustRite circle border stamp (boy what a "run-on sentence...lol). I decided to make it into an easel card and used the same digi DP on the inside.

I then made all of my flowers using copy paper; it makes the card lighter and wrinkles like I want it to. The carnation like flowers are edged with diamond Stickles. And the larger size five point flowers have dew drops for centers, whereas the little ones I dotted with my copic tip,B01. The leaves are from a Carl Punch.

I also made a couple of bead embellies to add some extra bling.

I colored all the clear rhinestones from Want2Scrap with copics B00 to match my papers.

The two flowers on the inside of the card are paper flowers covering rhinestone flowers. The picture does not show how just a tad of bling peeks out around the edges of the paper flowers. This way I got the height I needed to hold the top up and they did not distract from the flourish.

The paper lace was from a huge prize I won from Gina L at Gina Speaks.

I sent this off for the April Mingle at Magnolia-licious and want to enter it in the following challenges...

I had fun making this card and I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by.
Hugs and Blessings to you all.

Creative Crafts DT Challenge "Recycle"

Happy Tuesday Morning!  Did all of us eat our share of chocolate in the last few days?  I hope everyone has enjoyed and recovered from all the festivities this past weekend.  I spent time with my middle son and DIL, and her family ( my other two sons live on the west coast). And my youngest sister and her family were there also. It was lovely, sunny, a bit chilly but lovely all the same.

Thanks to all who particiapated in our embossing challenge, sponsors and players, but another two weeks has flown right by and it's time for a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenge.
I'm ready are you???

Our Lovely sponsors for this challenge are.....

Some Odd Girl who is giving the Winner 3 Digis...woohooo!

and

Flowered ribbon from Crafty Ribbon

AND
A second winner will win a GDT spot for a month.

AND

has an  embellishment pack for the top 3 winners!

So are you ready to go green, no not with food poisoning or envy but Recycling? That's right, we want you to use  bottle caps, an old placemat, old jeans, safty pins, or an old books , old paper, or an old man, opps how did he get in there. ?!?. Use ANY thing at all in a NEW way to create your piece of art. We all have junk, I mean prized things lying around that we can put to good use instead of throwing them in a corner or in the nearest landfill...lol.

Here's what I came up with.

I used an empty bath salt bottle and wrapped it with scrap lace which was left over from when I made my wedding dress many moons ago, the pearled trim was also from that stash. Yes I was styling back then, broke too, so I made my own dress, but styling...lol.

The beads, except the little heart were from an old necklace, including the ones I created the finial from. The gold trim I wrapped around the cork stopper was from Christmas trim we saved when we opened presents. I am a hoarder it is true...lol. And wala..now I have a handy item in case I need a gift, it's very pretty when the light shines through it..

Here's an Artsy view.

So start digging through your drawers, cupboards and what is it anyway you have stored in all those old shoe boxes??? Go take a peek and start Creating!  Be sure to go to the Creative Craft challenge and enter your lovelies.

Also entering in......
Thanks to all who have come by to take a peek.
I love all my blog friends.
Have a Blessed day and Hugs to you all.

Magnolia Easter Spring Extravaganza

I need to quickly post this for Challenge # 1 , I will edit after I post for the Magnolia Easter Spring Extravaganza.

EDITING: Okay, I just wanted to make sure I met the deadline which I thought was today...dah...it's tomorrow...lol.
On to the card, it photographed slanted and I don't know why, she really is sitting straight; I guess Tilda had too much chocolate.
My only regret is I wish I had gone more pastel on the eggs, but, I use PVA glue and when they are glued...it is forever. And since I spent so much time weaving the basket I did not want to ruin it....SO bright eggs it is...lol. All the flowers are made by me and I love Tilda with the large bow, she is sweet so I thought she would be perfect for this card..

Here is a close-up of the basket.

Let's Ink It Up wanted stitching, so mine is faux.
This was lots of fun to create and I hope you have enjoyed it.

Color Me #2

Me again......This is my second entry in Sassy Cheryl's "Color Me" Challenge #19

This is the Sneaky Mouse Birthday Cupcake from Sassy Cheryl's Digi Store. I'd take advantage of the discount she is offering on these while you can...teehee.

I used Stampin' Up cardstock, coloredthe image  with Copics and embellished with some mounted rhinestones from Craft 2000 (Store in Michigan). I also popped the image panel for a little interest.

I hope you have enjoyed both of these, as I said in the other post they were so much fun to color. They make me smile.

Have a Blessed Day and Hugs to All.

Color Me #1

Hello! It has been wonderful to have much warmer weather recently, and the daffodils are starting to bloom, yes! I can't wait to see everyone's flowers in the neighborhood.

I really enjoy coloring Sassy Cheryl's digi's and this was no exception. Each week she has a "Color Me" challenge and sells two images at a discount. And I take advantage whether I am entering or not....teehee.
Well, this week I am entering Challenge #19 with this one that is named "Sneaky Bear Birthday Cupcake" .

I used Stampin' Up cardstock, and white Bazzill  cardstock which I punched around the edges with a Martha Stewart punch. I kept the embellies simple because I wanted to focus on the image, which I colored with my limited supply of copics. I colored clear rhinestones with the same YG05 copic which was one of the greens I used on the cupcake holder (They really are all the same color I don't know why they came out looking different).

Now on to the next one (see other post)

Hugs to you.

My First DT Challenge!!! Emboss!!!

Woohoo and Good Morning!! Today is my first post as a DT for Creative Craft Challenge Blog.  I am sooo excited!!! I want to thank all the sweet ladies from CCC for letting me join their team. I am really looking forward to creating and having fun and learning from them. Thank you Ladies! Woohoo!

The Sponsor for the Top Winner is Witch Craft

And be sure to go visit them at the "Stamp" Magic" Show at The Dome in Dancaster,England on June 12.

And the Top 3 sponsor is Doodle Dragon Studios.

So come on and accept the challenge to  Emboss...wet or dry...the choice is yours.
We were graciously given Digi's from Dragon Doodle Studios  to play with and they are from their "Alice" Collection.
I really had fun coloring and creating with this digi; I did alter the image though by adding table details. I dry embossed my three mats with Cuddlebug folders and colored the image using Copics. The dew drops were from Ebay and the party punch is Stampin' Up.

My second sample is a altered playing card/ATC. I used red and gold embossing powders and stamped "Style" with memories ink while it was still wet.

So come join us at Creative Craft Challenge and have some fun today!  Be sure and visit the DT's Blog to see the details for their beautiful creations and leave them lovin'!

Thank you so much for joining me on my first day as a DT  for CCC and please come back
as I continue my journey.

Thank you.

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! My youngest son and granddaughter went back to California, I will definitely miss her sweet ways. I wish I could see her everyday I just want to kiss those sweet cheeks.
Well, I  have a card to share today. The image is from Designed 2 Delight and was a lot of fun to color using copics. I wanted a bold look and did less blending than usual. I added a clip art butterfly I colored and stickled. Those little mice are so sweet, huggable... lol. They are definitely celebrating something! I used the Spellbinder Grand Calibur Label One for the four layer card. It's my only Grand Calibur die so you will be seeing it alot..teehee. I hope you like it!

This sweet little image is LOTV, and colored with Copics. The beautiful DP is a freebie from Bearly Mine Designs (fabulour site) I made my own flowers and butterflies using Paper Shaper, Marvy, and various circle punches. The flourishes are from the "Serenade" Cricut cartridge and the  rhinestones are from Hobby Lobby. I love LOTV images and I hope you like it.

I am entering in the following challenges...

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you are all having a wonderful and Blessed day.
