I made a Mother's Day card for my mom, which she loved! I know Mother's day has come and gone but I didn't think about that we would be posting after that day...oops! Oh well, teehee. I used Bazzill cardstock, and this DP from my stash which had no name on it.

We were given digis from Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles and I chose this vintage shoe; I love it! I used copics to color, and  I embellished with pearls from Hobby Lobby, which I also colored with copics.

I used Spellbinders Petite Oval for the golf mirrored matting and the same for the Doodle Pantry sentiment. On the sentiments I trimmed off the embossed edge so the mirrored cardstock would show.
I used a Cuttlebug die for the deco corner, also using the gold mirrored cardstock.
The border punch is the "Double Arch Punch Around the Page" by Martha Stewart.
I distressed all the edges with SU! Old Olive and Buckaroo Blue combined.
The roses were on clearance years ago in the bridal section at Michael's, before anyone had ever heard of "Primas"...lol. They are the only store bought flowers I have. Oops I forgot Diane at Magnolia-licious gave me some larger flowers when I made a purchase at Christmas. I am saving them...a hoarder, yes it is true....lol.

I popped up the ruffle on the shoe, which does not show well because of my shadowing with C3 copic on the main image. It looks much better in real life. The key ring charm is from my stash.

The artsy angle shows the glossy "jewel" on the shoe I accented.

My second sample card is made with a digi stamp from Meljen's Design

The pic is blurry for some reason..and the tan cardstock looks off white...and the olive green looks beige...aaarrrgg...When I saw the stamp I instantly thought of a black silhouette with a touch of color. I used Bazzill cardstock and colored the image with pastel pencils.
The left black and tan stripes are punched using a Paper Studio edge punch that I love. I found the "Happiness" embellie in my metal stash and thought it would be perfect. Well this is my version of a CAS Vintage card. It looks much better in person and I wish you could see that...lol

Thanks you so much for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed your visit.

SEND A SMILE 4 KIDS Challenge #9 Flowers GUEST DT

Good morning everybody! I hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend. I have some fun news.
I am so excited to be a Guest DT for Challenge #9 at  Send A Smile 4 Kids , Woohoo!!

First I want to encourage everyone to check out the Blog for donating handmade cards to Send A Smile 4 Kids. I think this is a wonderful cause, So Make a Child smile by donating handmade cards or making monetary donations through PayPal ( all information can be obtained here)

The Challenge is" May Flowers" and Our Fabulous Sponsor is  Robyns' Fetish Digital Stamps

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is proud to sponsor this challenge.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is
is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice.

PRIZE FOR WINNER WILL BE
EITHER 5 digital stamps OR 4 digital stamps and 1 paper set from Robyns Fetish.

I had so much fun coloring and creating cards with the digis Robyn provided for us.

I used Bazzill and SU! Cardstock for both cards and the first card's flower and green polkadot DPs are old ones from my stash. When I found the little flower punch I had purchased last year at Michael's I was so pleased how it was exactly the same as the flowers on the DP. Cool huh?
I diecut the cute girl image with my Spellbinders and used a circle punch for the flowers and tab on the right side of the focal point. The little butterfly is a Family Treasures punch and has a pearl from HobLob.
There are also dew drops in the center of the spiral flowers but they do not show in the photo.

For my second  card I embossed with my Cuttlebug folder, Swiss Dots and  punched the green cardstock with a Martha Stewart border punch. I had a different digi, by the same artist, with similar flowers that I colored, cutout and pop dotted, and put at the bottom edge of the card. the dew drops are actually an aqua color, and those I purchased on Ebay. The butterfly is a McGill punch.

I am hoping this post publishes properly cause blogger was acting funny. I could not get the  first part or last third of the post to be a same size font as the center....weird!

Thank you so much for visiting and be sure to go enter your Flower creation at Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog here.

As always Hugs and God Bless You

Day Dreams

Happy Day everybody. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I am. I love to hop around cardland and look at all the beautiful creations. They truly blow me away. All the brilliant talent is so inspiring, I must say. Everyday I see something new. And just the few months I have been blogging I have learned so much.
It really touches my heart that everyone is so helpful and kind. Thank you to all those that help me and each other. Now on to my latest card.

I found these lovely digi papers at Bearly Mine Designs...they were  Freebies, woohoo! When I found them I instantly thought of making a Magnolia card. Aqua is one of my favorite colors, and I just knew it would look terrific as matting for Tilda.  So, I colored Tilda with Large Bow with copics  and mounted her with pop dots on to a Spellbinders die cut circle, which I had previously stamped with  a JustRite circle border stamp (boy what a "run-on sentence...lol). I decided to make it into an easel card and used the same digi DP on the inside.

I then made all of my flowers using copy paper; it makes the card lighter and wrinkles like I want it to. The carnation like flowers are edged with diamond Stickles. And the larger size five point flowers have dew drops for centers, whereas the little ones I dotted with my copic tip,B01. The leaves are from a Carl Punch.

I also made a couple of bead embellies to add some extra bling.

I colored all the clear rhinestones from Want2Scrap with copics B00 to match my papers.

The two flowers on the inside of the card are paper flowers covering rhinestone flowers. The picture does not show how just a tad of bling peeks out around the edges of the paper flowers. This way I got the height I needed to hold the top up and they did not distract from the flourish.

The paper lace was from a huge prize I won from Gina L at Gina Speaks.

I sent this off for the April Mingle at Magnolia-licious and want to enter it in the following challenges...

I had fun making this card and I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by.
Hugs and Blessings to you all.

Creative Crafts DT Challenge "Recycle"

Happy Tuesday Morning!  Did all of us eat our share of chocolate in the last few days?  I hope everyone has enjoyed and recovered from all the festivities this past weekend.  I spent time with my middle son and DIL, and her family ( my other two sons live on the west coast). And my youngest sister and her family were there also. It was lovely, sunny, a bit chilly but lovely all the same.

Thanks to all who particiapated in our embossing challenge, sponsors and players, but another two weeks has flown right by and it's time for a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenge.
I'm ready are you???

Our Lovely sponsors for this challenge are.....

Some Odd Girl who is giving the Winner 3 Digis...woohooo!

and

Flowered ribbon from Crafty Ribbon

AND
A second winner will win a GDT spot for a month.

AND

has an  embellishment pack for the top 3 winners!

So are you ready to go green, no not with food poisoning or envy but Recycling? That's right, we want you to use  bottle caps, an old placemat, old jeans, safty pins, or an old books , old paper, or an old man, opps how did he get in there. ?!?. Use ANY thing at all in a NEW way to create your piece of art. We all have junk, I mean prized things lying around that we can put to good use instead of throwing them in a corner or in the nearest landfill...lol.

Here's what I came up with.

I used an empty bath salt bottle and wrapped it with scrap lace which was left over from when I made my wedding dress many moons ago, the pearled trim was also from that stash. Yes I was styling back then, broke too, so I made my own dress, but styling...lol.

The beads, except the little heart were from an old necklace, including the ones I created the finial from. The gold trim I wrapped around the cork stopper was from Christmas trim we saved when we opened presents. I am a hoarder it is true...lol. And wala..now I have a handy item in case I need a gift, it's very pretty when the light shines through it..

Here's an Artsy view.

So start digging through your drawers, cupboards and what is it anyway you have stored in all those old shoe boxes??? Go take a peek and start Creating!  Be sure to go to the Creative Craft challenge and enter your lovelies.

Also entering in......
Thanks to all who have come by to take a peek.
I love all my blog friends.
Have a Blessed day and Hugs to you all.
