SAS4KIDS DT Challenge Cats & Dogs

Good Morning! I can not believe two weeks has past and it's time for another Challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids Woo hoo!!

I would like to welcome aboard our new DTs.... Hilde, Aly, and Lisa....Yeah!!
I can not wait to see all the beautiful creations they will be making for the Kids.

Of course I want to remind everyone that we do this for the children who are in the hospital. The more entries the more exposure and hopefully the more cards donated to Children's Hospitals. I know everyone wants to bring Smiles of joy to those kids, so tell your friends to join in the fun and come play with us! We have many wonderful sponsors lined up for the year and you don't want to miss the chance to win some great prizes

I would like to thank all those crafty people who participated in our last challenge; we had terrific entries and we are hoping to see even more 4 this challenge. But first I want to thank our Fabulous Sponsor...

                                           Digi Doodle  who is offering
                                            a $10.00 Gift Certificate. YIPPEE!

Digi Doodle also gave the DTs Digi images to play with and I just loved coloring these cute kitties with copics.

I used blue and cream Bazzill cardstock and the stripe DP is from Making Memories.
The base is 5-1/2"  square, matted 5-1/4"  square, and DP is 5" square.
I trimmed approximately two thirds down with Making Memories cream paper lace.
The images is so sweet and I printed a second copy of it so that both the valance and the kitty were colored and pop-dotted to give dimension
I added Lt. blue dew drops to each corner and also to the lacy trim to create the look of railing running along the "wall"
The sentiment was created in MicroWord and cut into a freehanded banner.

My Second card is all about Victory!

I used a 5-1/2" Bazzill cardstock as the base and matted with white 5-1/4" Bazzill cardstock and then  a 5" Sky DP by Paper Pazzaz. I forgot to measure the next group of matting, but it is the same paper; the DP I embossed with the Cuddlebug branch folder and it shows better in the next picture.
The digi once again is from Digi Doodle Shop and was colored with copics. I used Glossy accents on the flowers and the kitties eyes to add some shine to them. I used my Spellbinders Label No.
to die cut the image and mounted it at an angle.
I die cut the sentiment, which was created in MicroWord, with my Spellbinder Circle dies.
Before removing it from the die I distressed the edges with Stampin' Up Buckaroo Blue ink. The matting is blue Bazzill cardstock diecut with the next size Spellbinder circle die.
To create a better balance I put pearl white dewdrops at the two left corners and one on the sentiment circle.

This view shows the embossed panel much better

I certainly hope you enjoyed my Kitty cards and that you also visit my teamies blogs to see the deets for their creations too. And Remember JOIN in the fun at Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog "Cats and Dogs" 4 Kids!

As always God Bless and Hugs to you all!
Debby
